None of us want to look in the mirror and see an older looking person looking back at us. Aging is a natural part of life, no doubt, but we when start seeing certain signs of it in the mirror, we are usually quick to take action! Everybody wants to look younger and stop the onslaught of time marching across their face. Plus, we all want flawless skin, but in the words of Cher, how can we “turn back time?”
Ways to Look Much Younger
Get a New Haircut
A new haircut really can make the world of difference and make us look and feel like a new woman. Look at celebs like Kim Kardashian and her haircuts. She is the queen of reinvention! From long platinum blonde hair to a brunette bob. She isn’t afraid of change and we need to take note.
If you have long hair then you might want to consider getting the chop. Long hair can often make us look older. Cutting it into a bob will give your hair more body and could make you look and feel younger too.
You might also want to consider dying your hair. Get any greys covered! Find a hairdresser who has a good reputation and talk to them about what you want. They will be able to tell you whether they think it will suit you and together you can decide how subtle or how bold to go.
If you don’t want to do anything too drastic then you could also consider dying your hair at home. Garnier has a great range of hair colors and happens to be my personal favorite brand of drugstore hair color because it never dries my hair out like others do.
Say No To Sweets
This is my greatest weakness but it’s true. They may taste oh so sweet and good, but they are oh so bad for your skin. They really can be seen on your skin, and not in a good way. If you want to halt time and prevent those wrinkles, then you better kiss those sugary sweets goodbye. If you find yourself craving a sugar hit then you could treat yourself to a square of dark chocolate.
The 5:2 Diet
The 5:2 diet from Michael Mosley isn’t just good for our waistline, some people also believe that it is good for our skin too. It is believed that intermittent fasting helps with reducing inflammation in our body. However, there is no point fasting for 2 days if you are going to spend the other 5 days binging on junk food. For healthy skin, you need to make sure that you are eating healthy all 7 days.
The Hands Give It Away
You know how you can usually tell someone’s age range by looking at their hands? Our hands can be a dead giveaway for how old we are. We moisturize our face but it is important that we moisturize our hands too. We should be doing this overnight. Ideally, you want a nice thick hand cream. Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream has soothing ingredients like beeswax and sea buckthorn oils and it has a subtle fruity scent. For best results, cover your hands with cotton socks while you sleep. When you wake up and remove the socks, you’ll notice that your hands are soft and well moisturized.
Freeze And Rewind
You could also try cryotherapy from Cryology on your face. This treatment is supposed to reduce your wrinkles and blemishes, giving your skin a more youthful glow. You can even get whole body cryotherapy and it has been shown to reduce cellulite!
Fill In Those Brows
Your eyebrows are said to be the frame of your face and sparse brows are a real giveaway of your age. As we get older, our brow color starts to fade and the grays may also start to creep in. Fill in your brows with a brow pencil and maybe even a brow mascara and you will instantly look like you have had a facelift! Benefit has a great brow kit so you can check that out if you don’t already have one that works well for you.

It’s called beauty sleep for a reason. Make sure that you are getting at least 8 hours sleep each night. When we are tired it shows on our face. Sleep deprivation is not good for our body and it puts our body into stress mode causing our body to release stress hormones.
A good night’s sleep will help repair this damage. We should turn the TV, phone, and computers off at least an hour before bed. This will ensure that our brain is switched off and as a result, we should have a good night’s sleep.
To look younger we should increase our intake of vitamin C because this vitamin helps generate collagen. We want this because collagen gives our skin strength and elasticity and it replaces the dead cells. You can find vitamin C in oranges, broccoli, tomatoes, and kiwi.
Getting outdoors and running or walking at a brisk pace will also help us look younger. The increased blood flow will do wonders for our skin and it will help enhance our complexion. It will also make us feel great!
There are many tips and tricks that we can use to help us look younger. Do you have any secrets for looking younger and turning back time?
